BEFORE & AFTER PROJECTS: "Old to New" is the classic statement when it comes to decorative painting. Refinished furniture both vintage and contemporary in age is one of the most popular ways customers can update a space without breaking the bank-as well as saving space in our local landfills. Kitchen cabinetry is an absolute second in popularity. Color, texture, patina and sheen are all keywords that can resurrect a dated set of cabinetry and transform it into something completely unique and inspiring. Of course looking up and down are also ways to go with surface metamorphosis. Ceilings and floors have become the new "canvas" for faux painters. Surprising your family and friends with a beautiful metallic sheen on a ceiling or a fun and colorful painted rug that is totally mopable is just the beginning for some of our "b & a" stories.
An antique fireplace mantle restoration project in Atlantic Highlands, NJ brings old to new again with custom cast scroll replacement, rejuvenating wall mending and multiple dimensional paint applications. Changing the planned gloss green to flat white above the main mantle line gave a height illusion to the room. The end result lowers the visual focal point and combined with the subtle textured stone treatment brings in a warmth and mood to the space.
